This home in Crumlin Dublin 6 is a typical mid terrace home in this very popular district in Dublin south city.  Just a ten minute walk south from the canal will bring you to this now well insulated home.  


Like so many of our clients, this home owner suffered very badly during the snow and freezing weather of December and January 2011 and vowed to take action.  While very strongly built, these homes have no thermal insulation in the external walls.  Our Logo and a Front view of Externally Insulating a Mid Terrace house in Crumlin Dublin 12. Keeping this house warm was a constant expensive battle between the heater and nature as valuable heat was instantly lost to the outside. 


Since this house is mid terraced with no extension there were only two walls to consider the front and the rear, roughly 50 square meters.  The SEAI grant is a standard 4000 euro grant which goes a very long way to covering the cost of insulating a home like this to today’s building regulations.   By bringing these walls to a U Value of Front view of a finished Externally Insulated a Mid Terrace house in Crumlin Dublin 12.  This project was mostly paid for by government SEAI Better Energy Home Scheme grants.0.27 W/m2 the heating bill is slashed by 33% and the home owner will recover the outlay in a single winter. 
To make sure that the home is not just warmer but also more attractive we extend window sills and vents and move drain pipes and taps. 

Our commitment to the householder is documented in our very detailed quotation before we sign a standard SEAI contract. When the job is done there is a final inspection and the householder receives a warrantee, a detailed system description and a signed statement of work. 

With this quality approved documentation the householder can then claim the full government grant, while enjoying a wonderfully warm home.
