In other cases the project aim is to keep the existing look of the house. Such as this single story home in North Co. Wicklow. The development has a homogeneous look and the client wanted to be in keeping with that look. The careful choice of finish and proper attention to detail in fitting of the EWIS was key to an excellent job.

ETICS in Clane
All the residents of this 1970s estate in Clane Co Kildare mentioned how poorly insulated their homes were. The walls were build of hollow blocks with just a layer of plaster on the inside, which caused huge heating bills. Our calculations show that these walls had a U value of about 1.6 W/m2K. Adding a 100 mm layer of Carbon enhanced Polystyrene with a Lamda value of 0.031 W/mK pushed the U value comfortably below the current Irish building regulation value of 0.27 W/m2K. Which is the all important figure to secure the HES grant. Since PowerWall are an NSAI approved supplier of EWIS, reaching the required U-Value is all that the client required to draw down the grant.
